Cynthia Santacruz
Psychologist

Cynthia and I collaborated to have my illustrations accompany her mental health posts.

The illustrations represent different emotions:

Blame

Secondary emotion (appears in contact with others) whose main objective is to try to control what the other feels or thinks of me, in order to avoid rejection and guarantee the connection. It has an adaptive value when it fulfills a socializing function: «realizing that I have damaged and repairing».

Rage

Anger serves as protection, and the ability to handle it has to do directly with the maturity of our Nervous System. Anger used well, in the adult world is called firmness.

Shame

It is born in the relationship with a reference adult who points out that there is something wrong in your behavior, in order to inhibit it and help you develop social adaptation strategies.
